Brent Barron was the hottest hitter in the league this week, racking up a .571 average with eight RBIs. Meanwhile, Somerset put together a 3-1 week.

Somerset beat Bishop McCort this week, 6-4 in a matchup of the league's top two teams on May 3, 2012. The Eagles sit in first place in the league at 13-1 (14-3 overall).

Bishop McCort's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing eight hits and three walks to lead the league in both categories. On the season, the Crushers have allowed just 72 hits, while striking out 98 batters. Jesse Cooper leads the Crushers with 40 strikeouts in 37 innings.

Somerset scored 35 runs this week to lead the league, but Bishop McCort is tops in runs scored this year, with 156.
