Baseball Game Preview: Dos Palos Broncos vs. Yosemite Badgers

The Dos Palos Broncos will take on the Yosemite Badgers at 1:45 p.m. on Monday. Dos Palos' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Yosemite's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Yosemite will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Dos Palos extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Broncos never let Tranquillity get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory.

Kevin Larra was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Earl Riley, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Dos Palos was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .348 or higher in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Yosemite had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out Minarets 4-3 on Thursday.

The win got Yosemite back to even at 6-6. As for Dos Palos, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Everything went Dos Palos' way against Yosemite in their previous meeting back in April of 2022, as Dos Palos made off with a 9-3 win. Do the Broncos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Badgers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
