Baseball Recap: Elkhorn South Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Lincoln East

Elkhorn South faced Lincoln East in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Storm took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Storm have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Elkhorn South saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Jindra, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two runs. Tyler Lofdahl was another, going 3-for-4 with one run.

Elkhorn South's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Lincoln East, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 26-3.
