It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Islands had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They blew past the Upson-Lee Knights 3-0.

Islands walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-14, 25-18, 25-17.

Maya Swenson was nothing short of spectacular: she had eight digs and eight aces. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 aces per game.

Islands was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 29 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Despite the defeat, Upson-Lee saw an underclassman step up: Allie Richmond had ten digs.

Islands has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 20-16 record this season. As for Upson-Lee, their loss dropped their record down to 19-18.

Islands wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Calhoun on the 19th. Upson-Lee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
