Soccer Recap: Lincoln Park Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Whitney Young, Lincoln Park was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Phoenix Military Firebirds a 9-0 shutout. Lincoln Park haven't had any issues with Phoenix Military recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Lincoln Park's offense was hitting Phoenix Military from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. Joelle Holt led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Lincoln Park pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four games. As for Phoenix Military, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
