Basketball Game Preview: Williston-Elko Blue Devils vs. Hunter-Kinard-Tyler Trojans

The Williston-Elko Blue Devils will take on the Hunter-Kinard-Tyler Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Hunter-Kinard-Tyler will be up against a hot Williston-Elko team: the squad just extended their winning streak to eight. Williston-Elko simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Horse Creek Academy 55-25. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-13.

Meanwhile, Hunter-Kinard-Tyler waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They really took it to the Saints for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-30 win. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Trojans had established a 27 point advantage.

Williston-Elko has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.4 points per game. As for Hunter-Kinard-Tyler, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4.

Williston-Elko was able to grind out a solid win over Hunter-Kinard-Tyler in their previous matchup back in January, winning 41-28. Does Williston-Elko have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hunter-Kinard-Tyler turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
