Softball Recap: Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish vs. Reed-Custer Comets
It was a good run, but Bishop McNamara unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Reed-Custer Comets by a score of 5-3. Bishop McNamara was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Reed-Custer apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.
Bella DeLuca made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Bishop McNamara's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Reed-Custer, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

As for Reed-Custer, they will head out on the road to square off against Marquette at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Marquette's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Reed-Custer has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
