Round Valley is a perfect 5-0 against Valley since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Elks will head out on the road to square off against the Pirates at 2:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Round Valley fell victim to Blue Ridge and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 8-0 to the Yellow Jackets. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Elks were not able to get on the board.

Round Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jeffery Cochran, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Valley came up short against Northland Prep Academy on Tuesday, falling 14-2.

Round Valley's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4. As for Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Round Valley took their victory against Valley in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 24-0 score. Will the Elks repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
