Recap: Crystal River Pirates vs. Hudson Cobras
The Crystal River Pirates were the 55-48 winner over the Hudson Cobras when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Crystal River took a serious blow against Hudson on Thursday, falling 62-32. Crystal River found out winning isn't easy when your three-point shooting is a whole 37% worse than the opposition.
Despite the loss, Crystal River still got an impressive performance from Zachary Hamilton, who scored 16 points along with three steals and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Hamilton posted two or more blocks.
It was another big night for Tejacion Chapman, who scored 29 points along with eight rebounds for Hudson. Those 29 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jowell Andujar, who scored eight points.
Crystal River now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Hudson, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-3.
Crystal River won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Weeki Wachee at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Weeki Wachee focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday. Hudson will be home for the holidays to greet Cypress Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
