Football Recap: West Oaks Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

West Oaks Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 28-26 heartbreaker at the hands of the Saint Stephen's Episcopal Falcons.

A big part of Saint Stephen's Episcopal's win came down to the chemistry between Harry Jones and his top target James Haley. Jones threw for 105 yards and a pair of TDs while Haley picked up 75 receiving yards and two scores. Jones' passing game has become a key predictor of Saint Stephen's Episcopal's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-4 otherwise.

West Oaks Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Oaks Academy will take on St. Joseph Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Flame will need to watch out since the Flashes have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Santa Fe Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
