Soccer Recap: Burleson Comes Up Short

Burleson came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Centennial Spartans, falling 8-1. While losing is never fun, Burleson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 315th, while Centennial are ranked 69th).

Burleson's goal came courtesy of Annalynn Chavarria, who's now up to 12 this season.

Burleson's loss dropped their record down to 12-9-1. As for Centennial, their victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-1-1.

Burleson didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Joshua on the 14th. As for Centennial, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against Mansfield Timberview on the 14th.
