Football Game Preview: Pittston Patriots vs. Crestwood Comets + How To Watch

The Pittston Patriots will challenge the Crestwood Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Pittston proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by 44) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They pulled ahead with a 36-35 photo finish over Dallas. The win was familiar territory for the Patriots, who have now won three games in a row.

Pittston can attribute much of their success to Brody Spindler, who rushed for 196 yards and two TDs, and Lucas Lo Presto, who rushed for 57 yards and one score on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Pittston was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 308 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crestwood). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 58-14 victory over Greater Nanticoke Area. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Comets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 197th, while the Trojans are ranked 514th).

Crestwood now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Pittston, their record now sits at 4-1.

Pittston came up short against Crestwood in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, falling 21-14. Thankfully for the Patriots, Lincoln Bibla (who rushed for 72 yards and a pair of touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
