Softball Recap: Thrall Extends Winning Streak to Three

Thrall extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 16-11 in the process. They walked away with a 13-8 victory over Rockdale. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Mikayla Velasquez, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Riley Luton, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

As for Rockdale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16-1 record this season. Their defeat continues a trend for the team, making it 11 in a row.

On Rockdale's side, Presley McQuinn was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Jayla Gonzalez was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Thrall will look to defend their home field on Monday against Thorndale at 6:00 p.m. Rockdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
