Football Recap: Galax Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The matchup between Galax and Fort Chiswell on Friday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Maroon Tide took a blow against the Pioneers, falling 49-19. On the bright side, the 19- point performance marked the Maroon Tide's highest-scoring matchup to date.

Galax's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Fort Chiswell, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Galax will square off against Grayson County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Maroon Tide are facing the Blue Devils at the right time seeing as the Blue Devils are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Fort Chiswell, they will face off against Giles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pioneers will need to watch out since the Spartans have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.
