A Season-Best Performance from Archie Jones Leads Christian Brothers Academy over Niskayuna

Christian Brothers Academy was led to victory by Archie Jones, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Jones threw for 368 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.3 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 41 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played dating back to last season.

The win for Christian Brothers Academy keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Jones and Christian Brothers Academy are taking a road trip to take on Shaker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Another Game with at Least Two Receiving Touchdowns from Lucius Anderson

Christian Brothers Academy was led to victory by Lucius Anderson, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Anderson wasn't messing around, picking up 244 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The contest was his third straight with two or more receiving touchdowns dating back to last season. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 57 yards.

For the year, Anderson has caught 9 touchdowns while averaging 137.8 receiving yards per game.

David Newell Dazzles in Saratoga Springs Victory

David Newell put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Thursday. He rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Saratoga Springs, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Newell and Saratoga Springs will take on Guilderland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Josh Simon Makes It Two for Saratoga Springs
