Soccer Game Preview: Genoa Area vs. Swanton

The Genoa Area Comets will head out to face off against the Swanton Bulldogs at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Genoa Area has four straight wins, Swanton has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Genoa Area's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over Evergreen. The result was nothing new for Genoa Area, who have now won ten contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Swanton lost 9-2 to Toledo Christian on Wednesday.

Genoa Area's victory bumped their record up to 10-0-3. As for Swanton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

Everything went Genoa Area's way against Swanton when the teams last played back in September of 2023, as Genoa Area made off with a 6-0 win. Do the Comets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
