Baseball Game Preview: Northern Lehigh Bulldogs vs. Lehighton Indians

Northern Lehigh hasn't had much luck against Lehighton recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Indians at 4:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Hamburg hit Northern Lehigh with a five-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Lehighton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 9-5 to Palmerton.

Lehighton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derek Behler, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Braylon Hunsicker also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Lehighton's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Northern Lehigh, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Northern Lehigh came up short against Lehighton in their previous meeting back in March, falling 9-6. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
