Basketball Recap: Calvary Baptist Comes Up Short

Calvary Baptist came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were beaten by the La Canada Spartans 71-44.

Calvary Baptist lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Gavin Quizon, who went 7-for-9 en route to 14 points. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 53.3% shooting accuracy. Martin Malual was another key player, putting up nine points and seven rebounds.

Calvary Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for La Canada, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
