Football Recap: Labelle Piles Up the Points Against Gateway Charter

LaBelle's rock-solid defense showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They blew past the Gateway Charter Griffins, posting a 45-0 victory. The Cowboys/Cowgirls haven't had any issues with the Griffins recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Marquay Bradshaw had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 100 yards and three TDs on only ten carries. Bradshaw is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Arrie Davis Jr. got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something LaBelle proved: they limited Gateway Charter to a paltry 1.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Tomas (TT) Quintanilla for the heroic effort on defense: he. LaBelle didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.8.

LaBelle's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Gateway Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
