Basketball Recap: Midwood Takes a Loss

Midwood lost against South Shore back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Midwood Hornets took a blow against the South Shore Vikings, falling 95-27. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 360th, while the Vikings are ranked 49th).

Midwood now has a losing record at 4-5. As for South Shore, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Midwood will face off against Grand Street Campus at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Shore, they will square off against St. John's at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
