Baseball Recap: Kenston Forest Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Kenston Forest had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 9-0 win last Wednesday.

Jobe Sullivan made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Sullivan wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ransom Clark, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

The victory (which was Kenston Forest's fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Looking ahead, Kenston Forest will challenge Life Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
