Basketball Recap: Liberty Christian Comes Up Short

Liberty Christian lost against Lake Country Christian back in November and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Liberty Christian Warriors fell 60-48 to the Lake Country Christian Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 914th, while the Eagles are ranked 166th).

Liberty Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for Lake Country Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Liberty Christian will take on Legacy in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th. As for Lake Country Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Temple Christian at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lake Country Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Temple Christian likes a good challenge.
