Volleyball Recap: Sahuarita Comes Up Short

If Sahuarita was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Amphitheater last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs fell just short of the Cholla Chargers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chargers earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Sahuarita's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-13. As for Cholla, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-12 record this season.

Sahuarita will face off against Amphitheater at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Cholla, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rio Rico at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
