Volleyball Recap: Etiwanda's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Etiwanda had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Upland Highlanders/Scots. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Highlanders/Scots, too.

Etiwanda had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-17.

Leading Etiwanda to victory were Meaalofa Tauaese and Kamryn Andrews. Tauaese had 18 assists and 14 digs, while Andrews had nine digs and three aces. With that strong performance, Tauaese is now averaging an impressive 12.1 assists per game.

They weren't the only good servers: Etiwanda was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive matchups.

Etiwanda's record now sits at 19-11. As for Upland, they dropped their record down to 6-11 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
