The Hollywood Hills Spartans will look to defend their home court against the Hallandale Chargers at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Tuesday, Hollywood Hills came up short against Chaminade-Madonna and fell 3-1. While the Spartans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 25-21 in the first set.
Hollywood Hills started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-20, 25-15, 25-11.
Hollywood Hills' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Christian Hernandez, who had 21 digs, and Julian Klavans, who had 11 digs and three aces.
Meanwhile, Hallandale also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Coral Glades by a score of 3-1.
While Hallandale had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18, 25-27, 25-21.
Hollywood Hills' loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Hallandale, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Everything went Hollywood Hills' way against Hallandale in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Hollywood Hills made off with a 3-0 win. Will Hollywood Hills repeat their success, or does Hallandale have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
