Basketball Recap: Plevna Triumphs

Plevna hadn't done well against Garfield County recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Plevna Cougars narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Garfield County Mustangs 48-45. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 66-38 loss the last time these two teams met.

Plevna's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5. As for Garfield County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Plevna will head out on the road to challenge Terry at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Terry will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Plevna surely won't give up without a fight. Garfield County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
