Pollok Central and Diboll are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Lumberjacks at 6:00 p.m. Pollok Central's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Diboll's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

If Pollok Central beats Diboll with eight runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Bulldogs walked away with an 8-5 win over Newton on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 20 runs the game before, Diboll was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (20-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They haven't had much luck with the Red Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Lorena Castillo was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Pollok Central's victory bumped their record up to 16-7-1. As for Diboll, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Pollok Central beat Diboll 7-4 in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Lumberjacks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
