Selinsgrove has no trouble against Jersey Shore

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Selinsgrove Seals walked away with it. They blew past Jersey Shore 44-19. Selinsgrove might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won ten games by 25 points or more this season.

Selinsgrove's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tucker Teats, who rushed for 280 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Teats' longest rush was for an incredible 87 yards. Another player making a difference was Gavin Bastian, who picked up 159 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tate Sechrist, who gained 74 total yards and two touchdowns. Sechrist has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last ten times he's played. Jerrin Loomis was another key contributor, throwing for 239 yards and a touchdown.

The win for Selinsgrove keeps them at an undefeated 12-0-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 39.67 points. As for Jersey Shore, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-1-1.

Selinsgrove will head out on the road to face off against Bethlehem Catholic at 7:05 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Bethlehem Catholic is ranked 37th, while Selinsgrove is ranked 28th). Jersey Shore does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
