Basketball Recap: Community Christian Starts Season with Win Against Hilltop Christian

Community Christian took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 77-42 victory over the Hilltop Christian Chargers. Winning may never get old, but the Cyclones sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row dating back to last season.

Community Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Beamon out in front who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 14 boards. Beamon is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 13 games he's played dating back to last season. Evan Gattis was another key player, shooting 64% from the field to rack up 17 points and seven assists.

Community Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-57 victory against Combine Academy Regional on the 15th. As for Hilltop Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 57-46 loss against Faith Christian Academy on the 14th.
