Kimberly and Kaukauna are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Kimberly Papermakers will take on the Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Kimberly sitting on three straight wins and Kaukauna on 16.

Kimberly is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They secured a 73-68 W over Appleton North. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Papermakers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Lightning are ranked 12th).

Kaukauna hadn't beaten Neenah on the road since January 10, 2023 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. Kaukauna walked away with a 63-54 win over Neenah.

Kimberly's record is now 10-12. As for Kaukauna, their record is now 23-3.

Things could have been worse for Kimberly, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 98-79 loss to Kaukauna in their previous meeting back in February. Can Kimberly avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
