Basketball Recap: Raton Takes a Loss

Raton managed to slip by Tucumcari the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers were dealt a 57-29 loss at the hands of the Rattlers on Saturday. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured ten defeats in a row.

Raton lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Logan Elliot, who posted eight points and five rebounds. Chance Walton was another key player, putting up four points along with seven boards and four blocks.

Raton's record now sits at 4-14. As for Tucumcari, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-8.

Coincidentally, Raton and Tucumcari will both be playing Santa Rosa the next time they take the court. The Rattlers will head out to face the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Tigers will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
