Softball Recap: Aspermont Comes Up Short

After flying high against Westbrook last Monday, Aspermont came back down to earth. Aspermont took a 19-15 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hamlin Pied Pipers on Saturday. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pied Pipers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Aspermont's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hamlin, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-9.

Looking ahead, Hamlin will head out on the road to square off against Jayton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Aspermont will be paying especially close attention to Hamlin's game: after Hamlin faces off against Baird, they'll take on Aspermont again at 4:00 p.m. on the 7th.
