Basketball Recap: Dyett Falls Despite Big Games from Jerremiah Jackson and Jesus Mitchell-Hightower

Dyett was the 54-50 winner over Perspectives-IIT/Joslin when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 49-44 to the Wolves on Thursday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jesus Mitchell-Hightower and Jerremiah Jackson certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Mitchell-Hightower posted 11 points along with seven boards and three steals, while Jackson almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. Mitchell-Hightower is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cameron Fox, who put up ten points.

Dyett's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Perspectives-IIT/Joslin, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dyett and Thornwood will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Perspectives-IIT/Joslin, they will take on Perspectives Leadership/Technology at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wolves will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.71 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
