Basketball Game Preview: Richards Bulldogs vs. Shepard Astros

The Richards Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Shepard Astros at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Richards is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Richards is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Evergreen Park on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Richards came up short against Evergreen Park, falling 49-23. The Bulldogs were down 38-15 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Shepard ended up a good deal behind Oak Lawn on Monday and lost 67-53.

Richards' loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Shepard, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.

Richards might still be hurting after the 52-30 loss they got from Shepard when the teams last played back in November of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Richards was down 34-11.
