Baseball Game Preview: Morristown Yellow Jackets vs. Hauser Jets

For the second straight game, Morristown will face off against Hauser. The Yellow Jackets will be playing at home against the Jets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Morristown has given up an average of 10 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Morristown fell victim to Hauser and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Jets, falling 17-0. The Yellow Jackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Hauser's part, Holden Pittman and R.J. Foster made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Pittman struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Foster tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the most strikeouts Pittman has posted since back in April. At bat, Pittman got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run, while Foster went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Stryker Gill and Kameron Blair did most of the damage at the plate: Gill went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and three runs, while Blair went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Gill has posted since back in May of 2024. Kase Meister was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

The win was the eighth in a row for Hauser, bringing their record up to 13-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Morristown, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.
