Basketball Game Preview: Upsala Cardinals vs. Braham Bombers

The Upsala Cardinals will face off against the Braham Bombers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Upsala comes in on ten and Braham on four.

Upsala is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 51-32 win over East Central.

Upsala's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Calvin Leners led the charge by shooting 63% from the field on his way to 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. That's the most boards Leners has posted since back in December of 2025. Another player making a difference was Quinn Guthrie, who earned 15 points and eight rebounds.

Upsala smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Braham blew past North Lakes Academy, posting an 81-40 victory. The Bombers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 27 points or more this season.

Upsala's win bumped their record up to 22-6. As for Braham, their victory bumped their record up to 20-7.

Upsala came up short against Braham in their previous meeting back in January, falling 74-66. Can the Cardinals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
