Freeport won the last time they faced Highlands and things went their way on Thursday too. The Yellowjackets blew past the Golden Rams 8-1. Considering the Yellowjackets have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Freeport has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Highlands, they dropped their record down to 7-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
