Football Recap: Wilson Prep Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Wilson Prep extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They lost 30-8 to the Greene Central Rams. Despite 81 more yards than the Rams, the Tigers couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Despite the loss, Wilson Prep still got an impressive performance from Travon Usher, who threw for 123 yards and one TD while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 40 yards.

Even if they lost, Wilson Prep's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Zalik Cannady refused to say out of the backfield, picking up two sacks all by himself. He was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks and making six total tackles.

As for Greene Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 2.7 points on average this season.

Dejuan Cobb was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 119 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Cobb is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 119 every time he's taken the field this season.

Wilson Prep has already played their next game, a 41-32 loss against Northeastern on the 12th. As for Greene Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-36 win against North Pitt on the 12th.
