Deep Run proved they can win big with a three-set victory last Wednesday. On Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Godwin Eagles 3-2. The Wildcats are now officially on a roll, as this was the team's third straight win.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (108-104) Deep Run actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final set scores came out to 22-25, 13-25, 25-23, 25-18, 19-17.

Deep Run has now won eight of their last nine games at home. That's helped them to a 12-5 record this season. As for Godwin, they moved to 10-7 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Deep Run didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Matoaca on the 14th. As for Godwin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Freeman on the 15th.
