Soccer Recap: Lake Stevens Takes a Loss

Lake Stevens entered their contest against Kamiak on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Vikings fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1. Lake Stevens were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Kamiak earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Lake Stevens' defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 11-2. As for Kamiak, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Stevens will venture away from home to square off against Glacier Peak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Glacier Peak's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Kamiak, they will square off against Arlington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kamiak are facing Arlington at the right time seeing as Arlington are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
