Volleyball Recap: Davidson Day's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Davidson Day walked away with it. They blew past the Asheville School (Independent) Blues 3-0 on Saturday. The win was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on four straight.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-14, 25-18.

Davidson Day found their leader in sophomore Lilly Marinelli, who had seven digs and four aces.

Davidson Day was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 17 consecutive matchups.

Davidson Day's victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Asheville School (Independent), their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.

Looking ahead, Davidson Day will challenge Asheville Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Asheville School (Independent) does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
