Baseball Recap: River Forest Has No Trouble Against Gary West Side

River Forest won the last time they faced Gary West Side and things went their way on Saturday too. The Ingots blew past the Cougars 17-1. The result was nothing new for the Ingots, who have now won three matchups by 13 runs or more so far this season.

River Forest let Macario Ramirez and Josiah Artest run wild. Ramirez went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Artest went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs. Those four stolen bases gave Ramirez a new career-high. Brandon Fergerson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

River Forest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .909. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive contests.
