The Sheets Memorial Christian Eagles's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Raleigh Christian Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
While Sheets Memorial Christian couldn't quite beat Oak Level Baptist Academy on Friday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 40-point loss they were dealt on Tuesday. Sheets Memorial Christian fell just short of Oak Level Baptist Academy by a score of 39-37.
Despite their loss, Sheets Memorial Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kristin Haut, who scored six points along with nine rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Aleah Nixon, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Raleigh Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher two weeks ago after their third straight defeat. They fell 29-20 to Fayetteville Street Christian.
Sheets Memorial Christian's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Raleigh Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
