Football Game Preview: Hoover Patriots vs. Sanger West Hornets + How To Watch

The Hoover Patriots will face off against the Sanger West Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hoover will be strutting in after a victory while Sanger West will be coming in after a defeat.

Hoover is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Madera South to the tune of 51-20 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Patriots needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Julian Jimenez and Cam Mobley were among the main playmakers for Hoover as the former rushed for 125 yards and three TDs and the latter threw for 213 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 16 passes.

Hoover didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Justice Bell, Kenneth Aguilera, and Christian Perry picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Sanger West's offense. They were outmatched by Roosevelt and fell 34-0. Having soared to a lofty 33 points in the game before, the Hornets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

The win got Hoover back to even at 2-2. As for Sanger West, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's game: Hoover has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 391.5 total yards per game. It's a different story for Sanger West, though, as they've been averaging only 224.2 total yards. Will Hoover be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Hornets flip the script?
