Baseball Recap: Mason County Central's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mason County Central strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Bear Lake Lakers 7-1. That's two games straight that the Spartans have won by exactly six runs.

Michael Chye was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Ruiz, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Mason County Central's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average this season. As for Bear Lake, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Mason County Central will look to defend their home field on Monday against Pine River Area at 4:00 p.m. As for Bear Lake, they will face off against Marion at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
