Ysleta took a 11-run  defeat the last time they faced off against Fabens, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Ysleta Indians narrowly escaped with a  win as the  squad sidled past the Fabens Wildcats  7-6. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Indians as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
 The team  relied heavily on  Jazmyn Pollard, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2. She also  stole a  stolen base, marking her first of the season.  Cienna Hernandez was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with one  triple and one  run.
Ysleta's win bumped their record up to 5-7-1. As for Fabens,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-8.
 Coming up, Ysleta will take on Hanks at 10:40  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Fabens, they will venture away from home to  take on Canutillo  at 12:20  p.m.  on Saturday.
