Soccer Game Preview: Davenport vs. Marble Falls

The Davenport Wolves will challenge the Marble Falls Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Davenport managed to keep up with Wimberley until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Davenport came up short against Wimberley, falling 3-0. Wolves' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Marble Falls didn't have quite enough to beat Fredericksburg on Tuesday and fell 2-1. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marble Falls' loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Davenport, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-2.

Everything went Davenport's way against Marble Falls when the teams last played back in February, as Davenport made off with a 6-1 victory. Does Davenport have another victory up their sleeve, or will Marble Falls turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
