Lakeland Regional comes up short despite Noah Pagan's dominant performance

Recap: Lakeland Regional Lancers vs. West Milford Highlanders

The Lakeland Regional Lancers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 60-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Milford. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lakeland Regional of the 69-60 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Lakeland Regional lost, one person who can't be blamed is Noah Pagan. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Joe Zonis, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.

Lakeland Regional bumped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for West Milford, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.

Lakeland Regional will head out on the road to take on Passaic Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Passaic Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lakeland Regional in New Jersey (Passaic Valley is ranked 148th, while Lakeland Regional is ranked 342nd). As for West Milford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Garfield at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
