Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Blue Mountain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carter Smith, who rushed for 105 yards and two scores on only 12 carries. Smith is becoming a predictor of the Eagles' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 4-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't). Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Blue Mountain proved: they limited Tamaqua to a paltry three yards per carry. While one picked up at least six total tackles, Josh Hoover stood above the rest. He picked up 62 receiving yards and one TD. Blue Mountain is a perfect 4-0 when they shut down the run game so well.

Tamaqua's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ace Schickram, who picked up 72 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Terrence McDowell Jr handled things on the ground, rushing for 113 yards.

Blue Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
