Basketball Recap: Faith Academy Charter Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Faith Academy Charter played a tough game on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through an 87-60 loss at the hands of the North Hills Christian Eagles. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 57-34.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jelani King, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. Ivan Jarvis was another key player, putting up 13 points and six boards.

North Hills Christian had a senior duo take command as Maverick Ball went 10-for-13 to rack up 22 points and six rebounds and Gio Aguiar dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards. The matchup was Ball's seventh in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Strickland, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 14 points and five rebounds.

Faith Academy Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Faith Academy Charter will challenge Charlotte Performance Institute at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Hills Christian, they have already played their next contest, an 86-67 defeat against Triad Baptist Christian Academy on the 11th.
